King Kong is getting the musical treatment and has quite an interesting score. Among arrangements from producer Marius de Vries, the score also features music from Justice, Massive Attack, and The Avalanches (!!). This would be the first new material from The Avalanches (who may have an album out before the Apocalypse), since their 2000 album Since I Left You. Their contribution consists for a cover of the song “Get Happy.” You can check out the snippets from the score below.
The musical will debut in June in Melbourne, Australia with previews starting May 28th.
