Neutral Milk Hotel Announce Reunion Shows, International Tour to Come

It’s happening!  It’s really happening!  Neutral Milk Hotel is reuniting and you actually might be able to see them!

Just a couple of days ago, the indie band of all indie bands, Neutral Milk Hotel, finally made all of our dreams come true with an announcement of five reunion shows:

10/22 – Athens, GA – 40 Watt Club
10/23 – Athens, GA – 40 Watt Club
10/25 – Asheville, NC – Thomas Wolfe Auditorium
11/28 – Taipei, Taiwan – Hostess Club Taipei
12/01 – Tokyo, Japan – Hostess Club Weekender

Okay…so maybe not everyone’s dream came true.  The locations don’t quite cater to NMH fans all over the world.  For those fans who weren’t crazy enough (I am commending you, not insulting you) to plan an immediate road trip, there is still hope!  Jim Romeo, the band’s booking agent, revealed that there will be many more shows to come, and the locations won’t be quite as concentrated:

People should know that they shouldn’t get discouraged if they don’t get tickets to these few shows…There will be some more fall shows announced soon and a much longer and fuller tour planned for 2014 that will span the globe.

WOOHOO!

It was surprising enough to see singer Jeff Magnum come out of hiding to play solo shows a few years ago, but this new tour will feature every Neutral Milk Hotel member from the In the Aeroplane Over the Sea lineup.  Keep an eye out for new dates, because this is going to be GOOD.
