There’s a good chance that the lovely and talented Alfa is flying under your radar, and I’m here to fix that. Alfa is a pop-folk singer/songwriter born in the Philippines, raised in the NYC area, and now residing in LA pursuing her music. Her 2013 album, World Go Blue, has been rightfully garnering attention from radio and indie blogs, and her national touring is gaining her more and more fans with each performance. The artist recently stopped by the FilAM Jams studio to perform “Blue” off the new album.
Alfa’s voice is delightful, steady, and cute (but not cutesy), and her heartfelt, autobiographical lyrics are both thought and smile provoking. She accompanies her own voice on the love song with a ukulele, which perfects the feelgood sound. All of this along with beautiful falsetto and a catchy chorus makes the special performance a must-watch.
