Watch your back, Bon Jovi, because the Beliebers are coming for you, and they can be vicious. The seasoned rock star had a few words to say about Justin Bieber concerning the pop singer’s frequent failure to start his concerts on time, and they weren’t complimentary:
Every generation has guys that do that, none of that is new. They run the risk of disrespecting their audience members who have worked hard to pay for their ticket, to give you the permission to take two or three hours of their lives – or in that kid’s case, 80 minutes of their lives…Do it once, you can be forgiven. Do it enough times and shame on you. They won’t have you back. Then it just becomes a cliche. It’s really not cool – you’re an a–hole. Go to f–kin’ work!
Ooooh, SNAP. But really, as fans of any artist, it’s hard to disagree with Bon Jovi’s main point: respect your audience. An artist whose been so popular and well-liked for so long probably knows what he’s talking about, so we hope you’re taking notes, Biebz. You don’t want to lose your fans and image this early in the game, though it seems like you’re on your way with new scandals constantly popping up. Plus, it’s sort of hard to deny the negativity brought on by lack of punctuality, considering audience members are known to “boo” after waiting too long (isn’t that right, Rihanna?).
We’re curious to see if Bieber will have a defensive response, and even more curious to see if it will make any sense. Just kidding, we know it won’t.
