Ray J, AKA the man responsible for making Kim Kardashian famous (whatever, you were TOTALLY thinking it,) has just released a song to his former lady love and her new beau, Kanye West, and it’s called…”I Hit It First.”

Let’s just take a second to wrap our heads around this, shall we? A GROWN MAN who ~~had sex with on camera~~ dated Kim Kardashian TEN YEARS ago, who hasn’t done literally ANYTHING noteworthy since then, is deciding now, when Kim is pregnant and going through a divorce, to air dirty laundry that, quite frankly, everyone would rather just forget about. Now, you might be thinking to yourself, “really, SpaceJam, just how bad could this song be?” Well, let’s take a look at some of the lyrics:

Much like myself, you’re probably hoping: with lyrics this cringe-worthy, the music itself MUST be decent, right? WRONG. The track sounds like it belongs in 2003, which – ironically enough – is when the infamous Kardashian/Ray J sex tape was leaked, and, much like both, should have stayed in that year. If you’re going to do a diss track like this, at least make it a decent one, yes?

Now, I want to make one thing clear here: I am by no means a huge Kardashian fan (with the exception of Scott Disick, who is my spirit animal,) but the release of this song is just ridiculous. Obviously, Ray J needed attention, and what better way to get it than to pick on one of the most successful socialites since Paris Hilton? But seriously…come on now Ray. It’s been TEN. YEARS.
