Young female newcomer, Ariana Grande’s new album “Yours Truly” is setting up for a big release on September 3rd. With a platinum selling song already down, Grande’s stock just continues to rise as the album’s release gets closer and she continues to release more songs. Nickelodeon star has done a great job of keeping her Nick show and her music two separate entities since she continues to show off her more mature side on the album. With many comparisons to her main influence Mariah Carey, Grande looks to have R&B 90’s feel to her music and so far she is doing just that.

Her first single “The Way” featuring Mac Miller went platinum and was a huge debut single for the new artist. In one of the biggest surprises of the year, Ariana Grande had one of the biggest first week sales of the year only behind Justin Timberlake. The single was a big success and showed her huge vocal range very well.

Her second single “Baby I” wasn’t as successful but still was another top 40 hit and many people have said she sounds very reminiscent to Mariah Carey on this song.

Grande has also released promo singles “Right There” featuring Big Sean and a huge power ballad titled “Almost Is Never Enough” featuring The Wanted’s Nathan Sykes.

Overall this album so far looks to be huge for Ariana Grande. With big features and already hit songs, this album looks like it could sell very well as her debut album. At only 20 years old and only her debut album, Grande only has room to grow and I suspect we will be hearing a lot of Ariana Grande for years to come as she is one of the best female vocalist today.
