Oh, Shady, how we’ve missed you. After a two year break from performing, Marshall Mathers, AKA Eminem, has just been announced as the first act for a brand new concert series called the Glasgow Summer Sessions! The legendary rapper will take the stage in Bellahouston Park on August 20th, and will be his first show since his 2010 appearance in Scotland. Concert organizer Geoff Ellis said in a recent statement:
“We’re delighted to announce Eminem as the first major act for Glasgow Summer Sessions. His performance at T In The Park and his previous stadium show at Hampden were spectacular, so this gig will be one of the events of the year. As it’s one of the most important music destinations in the world, we’re also excited about what else we have to announce for Summer Sessions – more news soon!”
This news comes soon after Shady confirmed that he will indeed be releasing a new album in 2013, rumored to feature hip-hop heavyweights 50 Cent and Dr. Dre. I personally can’t wait for any and all new music from Eminem, he’s kept me the world waiting long enough!
