After a fantastic 11 years together, pop sensations Girls Aloud have officially announced that they are calling it quits. The girls took to twitter to break the news to all of their loyal fans, saying:
“Dear Alouders, we just want to say from the bottom of our hearts Thank you!! This tour has been an amazing experience and the perfect chance to say thank you for being on this journey with us through a decade. It has far exceeded any of our dreams and we hope we are forever your inspiration and reminder that dreams really do glitter!! Your love and support will stay with us forever but we have now come to the end of our incredible time together . Love you lots.”
While the split seems somewhat amicable, with most of Girls Aloud tweeting positive messages, Nadine Coyle voiced her opinion, and didn’t seem too happy about the breakup, shocking fans with:
Uh-oh, someone doesn’t sound happy! Hopefully this is just the shock talking, and Coyle will be able to come to terms with the split soon. As for myself, as sad as I am to see this split, I’m sure the girls have nothing but bright futures ahead of them and are wishing them all the best!
