Let’s get this straight – when I say “torturous,” I am literally describing this video. I’m talking amputation, here. But anyway, hey! New Fall Out Boy song! “The Phoenix” is the opener off the band’s upcoming album, Save Rock and Roll, and I personally find it to be a big improvement from “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up).”
“The Phoenix” comes appropriately with the rebirth of Fall Out Boy, and the song may be a redeemer for those who weren’t particularly fond of Folie A Deux. The music video reminds us that the members aren’t stuck in the scene stage anymore, but are still up for having fun with their videos (if you consider masked women kidnapping, betraying, and slicing up the band “fun”).
