With music mogul L.A. Reid and princess of pop Britney Spears off the judging panel, ‘The X Factor’ had some big shoes to fill for its upcoming season. Well, it looks like Destiny’s Child “independent woman” turned solo artist, Kelly Rowland, and multi-talented Mexican diva, Paulina Rubio, had the perfect sized feet to fit the glass slippers, and will be joining Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato for season three.
Both new judges already have experience on other reality singing shows, so no rookie mistakes here. Rowland actually judged for the UK version of ‘The X Factor’ for a season, while Rubio sat in one of the famous spinning chairs for ‘The Voice Mexico.’ They both spoke excitedly about their upcoming stint on the program, Rowland exclaiming:
I am very excited to be reuniting with Simon Cowell and ‘The X Factor’ family. It feels great to be able to take this journey here at home in the States!
Apparently all four judges’ personalities for the new season meshed excellently, but Rubio’s statement assures us that she won’t be one to take a backseat to Cowell’s well-known mean critiques:
I love ‘The X Factor!’ I can’t wait to find the next big music star here in America. I’m so thrilled to be part of the show as a judge. Simon, be careful what you wish for, let’s see if you are ready to handle me, empieza la fiesta, amigo!
