There are few things better in this world than surprise new Lana Del Rey, so it is my absolute pleasure to announce that my queen Lana has just released a brand new song and video, “Summer Wine.” A cover of her inspiration Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazelwood’s 1967 hit, Lana brings out her real-life stud of a boyfriend, Barrie-James O’Neill (of Scottish rock band Kassidy,) for a video that looks like it came straight out of a hipster’s Instagram account, and was shot on a Super 8. The pairing of the vintage video equipment and soft, old feeling of the song makes for a perfectly romantic summertime anthem, and certainly does Sinatra justice.
