Snoop Lion (otherwise known as Snoop Dogg for those of you still living in 2011) has his new album, Reincarnated, finally coming out on April 23rd.  The more details we find out about his reborn, reggae music career, the more interested we become.  Along with previously known collaborations with Akon, T.I., and Busta Rhymes, we now know that Drake, Chris Brown, and Rita Ora will be featured on the record as well.

Snoop is keeping it no secret; he posted this picture online yesterday with Drake, who will be in his next single, “No Guns Allowed.”

Snoop Lion, Drake, Snoop Dogg,
Reincarnated will be a reggae and dancehall-influenced album, so it’s only natural that it is being produced by Diplo.  Dancehall stars Popcaan and Mavado will also be featured along with the huge hip-hop and pop stars.  Snoop Lion recently spoke about his new sound and gimmick way of life:

We were searching for true reggae music and the message of peace and hope it reflects…It’s so much a part of who I am, and this record is all about paying homage and giving respect to those who created and love reggae music, and hopefully introducing it to a whole new audience. I feel truly honored to make this album and respect to all who blazed the path for me.

There will also be a documentary premiering at SXSW following Snoop’s transformation.  Check out the trailer below!
