The duo was best known for wearing their clothing backwards and their breakout hit “Jump Jump”. Now they’re reuniting in honor of their former record label, So So Def Recordings. The group’s reunion performance will take place on February 23 in Atlanta at the Fox Theatre, where the duo will be joined by former label mates Da Brat, Bow Wow, and Jagged Edge.
It’s been well over a decade since Kris Kross (Chris “Mac Daddy” Kelly and Chris “Daddy Mac” Smith) have made waves in the music world. Back in 2000, it was reported that the duo was going to record a fourth studio album to be produced by longtime collaborator Jermaine Dupri, but that album never came out.
Kris Kross rose to fame in 1992 with their multiplatinum Totally Krossed Out debut album. In addition to “Jump Jump,” the album included fan favorite tracks like “I Missed The Bus” and “It’s a Shame.”
