If an “L-O-L” was ever really appropriate, now would be the perfect time. Angelina Pivarnick, who you may (or may not) remember from the beginnings of Jersey Shore (before she got kicked out of the house, only to return and then leave again in season 2), is attempting to make amends with the LGBT community with her song, “Serendipity,” and a laughable music video to go along with it. Okay, before I begin…
Now that that’s out of the way…
“Serendipity” is a collaboration between Pivarnick and recording artist Adam Barta, who she originally debated with publicly on the topic of gay marriage, claiming that in the end, people should “marry their other type.” Well, Pivarnick changed her mind, and Barta decided hey, why not help jumpstart her “singing” career? Guess the whole pro-wrestling thing wasn’t working out. Shocker.
The “Serendipity” music video features Pivarnick in a turtleneck tank top, looking like a slightly tipsy woman in her mid 40’s who doesn’t quite know where she is or what’s going on, erm, ever, but is having fun anyway! Woo! Barta isn’t helping much with his equally sub-par outfit and vocals. The song itself is outdated and terrible. I have nothing else to say about that. When they’re not lipsyncing into the camera and attempting to have rhythm, they’re running through the city, all dressed up to marry, and *spoiler alert* we find out that their spouses are of the same sex **GASP**. What passionate, convincing pecks on the lips, Angelina.
Can’t wait to hear this all over the radio! In my nightmares.
