UK Duo Miss 600 Announce New Single ‘Dance With You’

Having just completed a busy first festival season in the UK, Jazz-pop duo Miss 600 have announced plans for the release of their new single ‘Dance With You’.

The single – which follows the extraordinary success of their first two singles, both A-listed on BBC Radio 2 – is taken from the band’s debut album, Buying Time, which will be released on February 18th 2013.

Introduced to jazz from an early age, singer-songwriter Hannah Garner met multi-instrumentalist David Amar at an open mic night at Ryans Bar in Derby (made famous for discovering Polydor act James Morrison) and, after being impressed with one another’s sounds, teamed up to create Miss 600. Initially, the duo spent their time gigging around the local Derby area and within a few months, were spotted by local producers Christopher Bucknall and Robert de Fresnes.

Bucknall, who is responsible for discovering and producing Sony / BMG’s Sam Beeton, signed the pair to Cubit Recordings in Autumn 2010 and their debut album was released in 2011. Their debut single ‘Twist’ was released in July 2011 and spent an incredible seven weeks on the BBC Radio 2 A list, while also achieving over 3000 plays on UK radio. Miss 600 soon followed this amazing success with their second single ‘Typically Me’. Once again, the single received support from Radio 2 and the single enjoyed 6 weeks on the playlist – a remarkable achievement for a brand new artist.

In November 2011, Miss 600 performed ‘Twist’ live to an audience of millions on the quarter final of Poland’s biggest TV show, ‘Dancing With The Stars’. The exuberant jazz tinged pop number ‘Dance With You’ is the next release for Miss 600, reflecting the developing sound of this young duo.

Their debut album ‘Buying Time’ is to be released on the 18th February 2013. Their new single ‘Dance With You’ can be purchased on iTunes at https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/dance-with-you-ep/id585608821?uo=4
