The garage rock mastermind, Ty Segall has just announced the band FUZZ, a project started with his guitarist Charlie Moothart. FUZZ just dropped an already sold out 7″ single “This Time I Got a Reason” b/w “Fuzz’s Fourth Dream” via Trouble In Mind. For those who couldn’t pick up the 7″, the band has offered it up for everyone to stream.
Interestingly enough, Trouble In Mind tried to keep the identity of the band secret as told in the single description: “Since it’s first issue in 1966, the ‘Fuzz Face’ pedal has sung it’s distorted siren song & lured many a burgeoning guitar player to the rock. Hendrix & Townshend swore by them, and apparently so does the San Francisco mystery.”
Ty Segall has had an amazing 2012 releasing 3 solid albums. The man just never sleeps, and I’m sure 2013 is going to be packed with a lot of new material from him. Check out those singles below!
