WHAT?! WHY?! ROB HALFORD CAN’T BE HURT I LOVE HIM TOO MUCH!
Rob Halford, Judas Priest frontman, is generally known for showing up on a tricked out motorcycle to events and concerts. But, unfortunately, time stands still for no one, not even the “Metal Messiah,” leaving Halford surprising everyone when he showed up to the May 14th screening of Priest’s new concert film, “Epitaph,” in a new set of wheels – a wheelchair! But don’t worry too much, Halford assured “That Metal Show’s” Eddie Trunk that it was just temporary, as seen in the interview below. He explains:
“It’s not as evil – well, it is evil. I’m in agony right now. But it’s just a back injury, it’s going to be fixed. The Metal God will be bouncing back and everything will be great.”
Well, that’s good to hear! Halford’s back issue is just the latest in a slew of problems surrounding the release of “Epitaph,” with Priest having to cancel the May 24th screening but promising fans in a joint statement:
“We’ll be holding a screening at the Soho Hotel, London, at 8pm on Friday. Tickets already issued will be honoured and those attending will also receive an advance copy of the DVD. Alternatively, a full refund will be offered by Ticketmaster. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.”
Hopefully this incident is the last setback for the band, they deserve all of the happiness in the world! Wishing Rob a fast and painless recovery, we’re rooting for you!
