Trance God Armin van Buuren is taking social media networking to an entirely new level, as he has just announced that he will become the first EDM artist to incorporate Google + hangouts into live events. Eight out of Armin’s twelve upcoming performances will give fans the chance to livechat with him, Markus Schulz, Dash Berlin, and other DJs while witnessing a livestream of the sold out shows. When asked for details about the stream, Armin stated:
“On my Google+ page, I’ve got over a million fans and that number is only growing. Through the Google+ Hangouts, I’m hoping to take the radio show to the next level and make it even more interactive for the fans. Every week, more than twenty million people tune into my show, so for these special live shows I’d like to take it one step further. Via the Google+ Hangouts, I can turn the listeners into viewers and offer them a front row seat.”
